Our Story
The Day We Met
"I remember the day we brought Dexter home like it was yesterday. He was this bundle of energy with ears far too big for his head, tripping over his own lion sized paws as he explored every corner of the house. We'd gone to see the litter not really knowing what to expect, but the moment he bounded over and looked up at us, that was it. Decision made. He chose us as much as we chose him."
Our Special Bond
"They just knew. That's the thing no one tells you about pets – they read you better than most people ever will. Walk through the door after a rough day and they're already there, tail wagging, not asking questions, just present. That was enough. It was always enough."
Favourite Memory
"There's one that always comes back to me. We were at the "Barrel Inn" at Bretby and Dexter just sat fixated at the view would not look at us just across the vast view of the 5 counties you could see from that spot, you could see he just wanted to run wild across al the fields, this was at a time closer to the end of his life and you could see him daydreaming about his youth"
What I Miss Most
"The silence that no one tells you about, not haring the footsteps across the laminate floor, not hearing him bark at every noise going past the house, even down to him cleaning himself. The danger has gone from leaving the bathroom door open to then find him in the bath you are running for yourself"
